Glenealy Village hall are holding a Monster jumble sale on Sunday May 28, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. This is instead of our Auction to include household furniture, Bric a Brac and much more. All support greatly appreciated.
Glenealy Tidy Towns
Our work evening takes place every Monday at 7.30p.m., meeting at the bus shelter. Litter picking, weeding, sweeping etc. We would love to see as many as possible help to keep our village looking its best.

Indoor bowls
Indoor bowls is played every Wednesday night in Glenealy Village Hall from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. New players are always welcome, it is a great hobby for the winter months.

Glendalough Pilgrim Walks
Following the tradition of pilgrimage, a series of walks has been organised to mark St Kevin’s Day on Saturday 3rd June in Glendalough. Participants will walk towards Glendalough following a choice of 7 different routes which will merge along the way with other walkers from the same area.

If you’re thinking of walking all you need to do is- Pick one of the routes and then contact the group leader who will give you the details on the route’s length, starting time, location etc. Each person will walk all or part of their chosen route finishing with a ‘gathering’ of walkers sharing refreshments at the Hermitage Centre near St Kevin’s Church, Laragh around 1pm.
Wicklow Mountains National Park
Join us on a gentle walk and learn how to identify some June wildflowers and some of their folklore. At the Information Office, by the Upper Lake, Glendalough. Adults and children welcome. No dogs. This event is free of charge, but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow Country Council, Eircode A98W778) has a €4 charge. Booking essential. Tidy Towns
SuperValu Tidy Towns Competition: We submitted our entry for 2023 last week. In preparation we have been actively planning, planting and engaging with our community. Our list of volunteers have grown with much planting over the Spring. Our next community tidy up is on the 7th of June at 7pm meeting opposite Lynhams on the green. We hope you can join us.

Brockagh Market & Car Boot Sun 11th
The Brockagh Market & Car Boot is once a month on the 2nd Sun(except Jan/Feb). Open to the public from 10am to 3pm.Tea, coffee and food snacks are available. Indoor and outdoor stalls with a variety of items for sale with plenty of bargains from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, aloe vera products, artwork, tools, household items etc. Free parking and customer toilet facilities.

Walking group in the Brockagh
On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around the Glendalough area for approximately one hour. No need to book, just show up on the day.

1798 Remembrance
A re-enactment of the Battle of Newtownmountkennedy will take place on main street from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 28.
This will include the use of powder muskets and cannon. This will be very noisy. Residents should ensure their pets or livestock are considered safe during this part of the festival.
Tickets are now available at 1798.ie. Please book now to avoid disappointment. Most events are free.

Men’s Shed
In the search for new members to join our crew at Killadreenan we have decided to hold a series of summer music evenings for all the family to enjoy provided by our resident shed musicians to start on Tuesday 23rd May at 7.30 which would enable any one interested in joining, to at least see what’s involved in becoming a welcome member of our crew, over a cuppa and a song , so come along and join the fun.
